Overall I used to not like BioShock very much at all being honest. To quote Yahtzee Crowshaw around the release of BioShock, "but here's the thing: BioShock isn't like System Shock 2, it /is/ System Shock 2.even the villain is just SHODAN holding a copy of Atlas Shrugged" It doesn't really fix any issues from SS2, and all of the worst elements of SS2 are here and magnified due to poorly thought out changes. In fact, there's a decent argument to be made that BioShock is nothing more than a remake of System Shock 2, and a kind of lukewarm one at that. I see a lot of hate thrown on Bio2 in particular due to this, which I always think is a little weird having played SS2 before BioShock because most of the complaints leveled against Bio2 as being "more of the same just worse" can be leveled right at BioShock vis-a-vis System Shock 2 if not more so. Especially in the latest poll and comments there's the same kind of sentiment going around that BioShock 1 is some kind of unquestionable classic that came out of nowhere and who's pure originality is what drives most to enjoy it. I get the feeling based on polls and such here most haven't. How do I extract sounds/textures/models from the game? Is the Season Pass / Ultimate Rapture Edition worth it?
